Designers Saturday receives RIBA CPD accreditation

Architects can build continuous professional development (CPD) points

04 September 2008: Architects wanting to keep up with trends and new ideas in the workplace can attend Designers Saturday, which will be held in London on Friday 26th September and Saturday 27th September.

As well as being able to visit eleven world leading office furniture design showrooms, architects will be able to build continuous professional development (CPD) points and hours thanks to RIBA's accreditation of the two-day event.

Most of the showrooms taking part in the event will be hosting a number of RIBA accredited CPD presentations with topics ranging from the impact of global warming on the workplace to health and safety. Along with the seminars, architects will be able to talk to experts on innovation, trends and issues facing the working environment.

Minesh Patel, CPD Marketing Manager at RIBA, said: "Designers Saturday is an excellent opportunity to take in two days worth of professional development. The thought provoking topics covered from the needs of four generations working side-by-side for the first time and the affect of global warming scenarios on the working environment, to the affects of acoustics on staff efficiency and the business case for electronic file tracking.

By attending seminars and visiting the showrooms, architects can very easily boost their required CPD points and gain valuable insight at the same time."

The seminars include:
