Designers Saturday returns for 2008
14 April 2008: A group of the leading workplace furniture manufacturers have announced a new entry into the 2008 event calendar – Designers Saturday, which will take place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 September.
The event will take its lead from the original ‘Designer Saturday’, which was an annual event in the ‘70s and ‘80s and will see the world’s largest furniture manufacturers opening their London showrooms to the design communities.
Many of the showrooms will be newly refurbished or at new locations and each one will have its own unique theme with a variety of fun and educational things to see and do. Visitors will find out about product development trends and new technology, see one off exhibits and workshops with industry experts, plus enjoy plenty of food, drink, networking and lively debate.
Participating companies include Ahrend, Bisley, Faram, Haworth, Herman Miller, KI, Kinnarps, Knoll, Sedus and Steelcase, whose showrooms are clustered around central London. Visitors will be encouraged to make their way around all the showrooms over the two days, with transport provided.
