Dr Who opened the door to another dimension of design at KI

image KI are the experts in Storage and Filing and Meeting and Training solutions and at this year's Designers Saturday we demonstrated (with a little help from the Dr Who, another renowned expert in time and space) how we can Save You Time and Space. On Friday the first visitors to the newly refurbished showroom were able to see new ideas in personal storage solutions such as the SmartLocker, various examples of locker designs with differing mechanical locks and electronic keypad access locks, new recycling and confidential waste units at the new coffee bar area, PivotFile rotary storage system fitted with electronic keypad access locks and additional new personal storage accessories and trays for the highly successful KI Smartbox.

As well as new products, also on display were KI’s established storage products such as the 700 & 900 Series lateral storage system and Eclipse, the powered mobile high density storage system. New meeting and training products included Kite, a highly versatile, folding, modular table system and Athens, a fixed base table system. New black and white versions of the lightweight Daylight stacking chair were on display and visitors had a chance to enter a draw to win four of the new chairs. In the evening architects, designers and planners had their nerves and spatial awareness skills put to the test with our giant Jenga challenge.

On Saturday our younger visitors took part in some remote control Dalek racing whilst a pair of full size Daleks roamed the showroom. Throughout the whole weekend CPD seminars in RFID file tracking were held in the new conference room and a full size Tardis contained the answer to our treasure hunt question - an RFID tracking chip!
